In Memoriam

The McKeryn Bridge Foundation exists to give others a hand when they stumble. Given his love of life, innate compassion, and relentless dedication to its mission, it is no surprise that Haden Edwards was instrumental in the Foundation’s success, from inception until his untimely passing in July 2015.

Through his work at The McKeryn Bridge Foundation, Haden was able to marry his passion for helping others with a lifetime of experience helping organizations succeed. In the course of his career, Haden Edwards served as a brand consultant to firms in various fields. He founded multiple companies, including: Bi-Weekly Mortgage Acceptance Corporation, Tracey Edwards Company, and H Communications. His devotion to community was apparent in his other accomplishments. He received the National Guard’s highest civilian award, the Distinguished Service Medal, and served as trustee for the Boys and Girls Club, New Hampshire Symphony Orchestra, New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery Association, and the Catholic Medical Center. Haden’s contributions to the New Hampshire landscape leave an enduring legacy in the success of those who had the benefit of working with him.

While Haden’s greatest joy in life was being a loving husband and devoted father, his devotion to The McKeryn Bridge Foundation enabled him to improve the lives of many, thanks in great part to his effort and spirit. We at The McKeryn Bridge Foundation are so grateful to have known him.

“To honor Haden Edwards is to live every day through his example of honesty, integrity and compassion. He gave 100% of himself into everything he did and his work with the McKeryn Bridge Foundation was one of his greatest passions. His spirit of generosity and community will continue on through the McKeryn Bridge Foundation.”

“In perhaps every encounter I had with Haden, and unfortunately it was somewhat limited because I had only known him for a few years, he would be talking about helping someone. He was one of the most caring people I have ever met and because of him I have become a better person.”
– Jason LaCroix, Board Member

“Haden was truly passionate about everything he did in life. He was perhaps most passionate about helping others and the MBF was the perfect outlet for him to do so. The thrill he got out of providing a hand up for MBF grant recipients was inspiring.
– Matt Welch, Board Member

“When Haden asked me to join the board in 2014, he told me there was no greater joy than seeing the look of relief and gratitude on the faces of grant recipients in need. Words couldn’t describe how he felt and Haden considered himself quite a wordsmith, with reason. To leave him without words was a compelling motivation for me to join this board and assist him and Bob in their charitable endeavors.
– Richard Codair, Board Member

“Haden was the consummate professional who leveraged the act of kindness into great endeavors of compassion. He was honored and humbled to help those less fortunate. Haden recognized his vocation and calling to make our community stronger and better informed about the plight of those in need. Haden made a difference!
