Randy Stone Scholarship Application

The Randy Stone Scholarship (RSS) is an annual award, created to honor the legacy of Randy Stone and support individuals pursuing higher education. This scholarship is specifically for students entering college who have faced barriers to success and demonstrated a commitment to overcoming challenges. Administered by the McKeryn Bridge Foundation in collaboration with Cheryl Stone, Randy’s wife, the RSS aims to empower individuals by providing financial support to help achieve their academic and personal goals. A couple words I would use to describe Randy is someone who could be quiet one minute and the life of the party the next. He wanted to make sure everyone knew he cared about them. His beliefs on life, liberty and love of country were very strong. His time in the military was something he was extremely proud of but didn’t brag about. His loyalty to family and friends was special. When we spoke of his battle with cancer he said to me he would be ok but he hated what his family was going through. Kindness, patience, and respect were his hallmarks. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he risked his life to save strangers, jumping headfirst into burning buildings. He put his life on the line for millions of people he never met but always respected. This man was a true hero, a one-of-a-kind individual, and a gentleman among men.
